Founded in 2021 by Massimiliano Lorenzelli, the gallery was conceived with the mission of supporting emerging Italian and international talents from the 1990s generation. An ironic yet profound exploration of the power of simplicity.

Poltrona Frau and Faye Toogood participate in London Design Festival with “A Squashed Space”, a playful and tactile installation takes over Poltrona Frau's Fulham flagship store and frame “Squash,” the bold collection by Toogood showcased for the first time in London. For the installation, sensual, quilted leather hangs from hand-crafted wooden totems, building an interior that sits within the spaces of Poltrona Frau's flagship store. From these draped, curving, patchwork walls, doors and windows are cut out in irregular shapesthat mirror the supple lines and relaxed upholstery of the Squash furniture.

TROUBLE is the new cave à manger to try in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. Velvet benches, sleek black tables, wooden stools echoing the wall coverings: while the atmosphere is refined, the welcome is warm and convivial. Behind the marble counter, the heart of the place, Nicolas uncorks bottles non-stop. Next to him, Stefano creates ephemeral dishes in the open kitchen. Outside, guests enjoy the good weather at typically Parisian bistrot tables and Drucker chairs, sipping on a glass of natural wine and savoring small plates crafted by the chef according to the seasons and his imagination.

Palazzo Monti is pleased to present the new cups and medals for the 42nd edition of the prestigious 1000 Miglia vintage car race, designed by Sabine Marcelis under the curation of Edoardo Monti. For the third consecutive year, 1000 Miglia collaborates with the Brescia artist residency and the renowned Dutch talent, a synergy that combines tradition and contemporaneity, art, design and the automotive world, and celebrates human relationships in the profession, from the union of the pilot and co-pilot, to the friendship between Monti and Marcelis.

‘Science Fiction Design: From Space Age to Metaverse’

The argentine visual artist and designer Andrés Reisinger has been entrusted with the creative direction of the Vitra Design Museum Schaudepot new show ‘Science Fiction Design: From Space Age to Metaverse’, curated by Susanne Graner and Nina Steinmüller. The exhibition delves in the fascinating dialogue between science fiction and design: over 100 objects from the museum’s collection are staged in a futuristic display by Reisinger, alongside selected works from the realms of film and literature. Altogether, they present a range of examples from the early twentieth century to the so-called Space Age of the 1960s and ’70s, and even further to recent design objects that have been conceived exclusively for the virtual worlds of the metaverse.

Hosted from April 18th to June 18th, 2024, the exhibition, conceived creatively and realised by Balich Wonder Studio, curated for jewellery and silverware by Alba Cappellieri, retraces the distinctive themes of Buccellati's creations, highlighting the mastery and preciousness of the 'classic'. The exhibition looks at products, significant events, and inspirations that have shaped the history of the Maison, dividing them into four distinct themes that focus on the craftsmanship of its most famous creations.

The ‘Time Traveler’ exhibition weaves together the cutting-edge works of contemporary talents with the enduring masterpieces by design legends of the past. In addition new creations from the Open Edition range are unveiled.

Contemporary artists with new solo shows include Andrés Reisinger and Analogia Project and focuses on works by Allegra Hicks, Lucia Massari, Objects of Common Interest, Ranieri. Exhibited are also new pieces by Filippo Carandini, John Brevard, Martino Gamper, Vikram Goyal, Etereo, Robinson Ferreux, Hechizoo, Anestis Michalis, Claude Missir, Rebecca Moses, Federica Perazzoli, Niccolò Spirito, studioutte, Jonathan Trayte, Osanna Visconti and Bethan Laura Wood together with vintage pieces by Gabriella Crespi and Brazilian masters. The digital artist and designer stages the experiential exhibition '12 Chairs for Meditation', occupying the atrium of Nilufar’s Viale Lancetti venue. Reisinger crafts a theatrical narrative encouraging visitors to partake in introspective meditation. Curated by the artist and Nina Yashar, the exhibition unveils a new collection of chairs and a striking site-specific mosaic accompanied by a bespoke musical piece composed by Reisinger himself.

Natural stone company Marimar opens the doors of a recently refurbished private apartment with extensive stone presence. The location becomes a manifesto of the brand, seeking connection with the world of architects by using natural stone as a medium for crafting emotional environments. Marimar creates a Club within the apartment through activities, corners, and collaborations; a place where it is possible to indulge in an exclusive experience and appreciate a dimension of research through different partnerships. The project, curated by Simple Flair, includes a selection of design pieces by the Spanish gallery Vasto, an immersive room powered by Le Labo, a food selection made by Space Delicious, a book corner curated by Maria Cristina Didero.
